During the course, you will learn how to prevent, detect, understand and manage what’s going on for these distressed infants. You will explore what the underlying causes are, how you can reduce baby’s symptoms and get them back to being happy.

You will learn practical steps to support families with evidence-based information and case histories shared by specialists with decades of experience supporting families with infantile crying, allergy and immune disorder. We will be sharing the most up to date evidence base for the management of symptoms in all milk-fed babies, including medications, other prescription products, dietary changes and all kinds of other management strategies.

We’ll be giving you the newest spheres of scientific understanding including the microbiome, early neurological development and epigenetics. We will also be exploring the existing understanding of allergy and immune disorder, to help you understand the background of the symptoms.

CERPs are Continuing Education Recognition Points, especially for Lactation Consultants.

This is the only colic, reflux and infant allergies course in the sector that has been awarded 6.25 L-CERPS.

This course is designed to enable you to pass on your knowledge to the families you support. You may be able to deliver this information in a class or group setting.

Whilst there is no criteria for calling yourself a specialist in this area, do be mindful that there are others who have worked in this field who have decades of experience supporting families with these conditions. It’s important that you feel confident in the support you are giving, and this course will equip you with the foundations for being able to provide good support to families you are working with and help you on your pathway to becoming a specialist.

Whilst this course does not give you the qualifications to make a medical diagnosis, the course is designed to enable you to give the right information and support to families who experience symptoms of colic, reflux and allergies, in order to improve these symptoms.

Families with unsettled babies are often distressed, and wondering how to help settle their baby in a gentle, non-invasive way, and with so much misinformation out there it’s easy to understand why families can be confused and overwhelmed when they have a baby experiencing pain and discomfort.

The course will arm you with enough knowledge and information to give confident and empathetic support to families who are struggling, to help them have a better understanding and hopefully improve their situation.

We understand, and that’s why we have generous payment plans where you can pay in 2 instalments which makes our Online Colic, Reflux & Infant Allergies course really affordable!

Yes! We want to make it easy for you to digest all the information!

Each module (topic) consists of a number of lessons, and most lessons have sub-lessons. After each of the lessons, you will be required to complete short multiple-choice questions. You are required to achieve 80% in each of the lessons to pass, however, you are able to retake those tests. Therefore, if you do not pass, you keep retaking until you do!

In order to receive the OCN accreditation in Colic, Reflux and Infant Allergies, you will need to complete the essay-based assignment.

The assessment details can be accessed on the course platform. You are given 7 weeks to complete the assessment. Each question is approximately 250- 300 words each and relates to the topics covered during the course.

Once completed your work will be marked internally by your assigned course tutor, and then assessed by Open College Network.

If there are any amendments to be made, we let you know by emailing you (or scheduling a call if required) and you are given extra time to make those amendments.

Once your work has been successfully verified, you will receive your certificate through Open College Network. Please note that OCN take approximately 4-6 weeks to verify and submit certificates to us.

You are welcome to complete the course, and not complete the assessment. If you choose to do this, on successful completion of all of the multiple-choice questions you will be given a certificate of achievement (non-accredited).

The quickest way to get your questions answered is to post them in the Facebook group, which is there specifically to support you with course queries and ongoing questions when working with clients.

If you have any other non course-related queries regarding payment, tech, deadlines etc… then please contact the Babyem team and we can happily help you.
