How do I gain practical experience?
For students in England, we offer a placement scheme open to graduates, alongside other ways to build practical experience, skills and references during the course. Our Facebook group is also a strong place to network, and graduates often share job leads with each other.
How can I use this training?
Graduates go on to work in the community, as a nanny developing newborn expertise, as a night nanny, or as a maternity nurse caring for newborns directly. Many also use it to support a family member, or to deepen an existing postnatal service.
How much time does it take?
A good rule of thumb is two hours a week watching the lessons. Level 3 assessment typically takes around 30 hours to complete; Level 4 around 40 hours. The course is designed to support you through the assessment with the key theory and practical steps you need.
