Welcome to the scheme

The Babyem Newborn Placement Scheme helps you build real, practical newborn experience with families, alongside a parent at home, with a reference at the end.

Babyem is not an agency. We don't match you with families, and we don't employ anyone. We complete the checks required for you to take part; finding, choosing and arranging your placements are yours.

Work through the five short steps below in order, then the eight quick checks — unlimited tries. Once you've passed and Marina has approved your seven documents and references, your card goes on the Candidate board for families to see, and the Parent board opens for you.

Once you're on the board

Placements come from both directions: families email you straight from your card, and you apply to families on the board — a short, warm note on why you'd love to support them. Start with a family where you'll feel confident, get the reference, then stretch. The scheme stays open to you for as long as you need it.

    What parents can and can't see on your card, writing a bio that gets you chosen, and why availability updates matter so much.

    The parent rings you; you agree days, travel and rest together and record it on the Placement Form; the money boundary, said plainly once.
