Welcome to the scheme
The Babyem Newborn Placement Scheme connects families with maternity nurses who have completed our training and want to build their practical newborn experience.
Babyem is not an agency. We don't match families with maternity nurses, and we don't employ anyone. We complete the checks required for someone to take part; the finding, choosing and arranging are yours.
The six steps below walk you through everything, in about ten minutes.
How the scheme works
- Understand the scheme What placements involve and what to expect.
- Complete the short orientation Work through the guidance and answer six questions.
- Meet us briefly Book your 15-minute welcome and safeguarding call.
- Join the scheme Pay the one-off £15 registration fee.
- Find a maternity nurse Browse the available maternity nurses and contact anyone you'd like to speak with.
- Arrange your placement Agree the dates and practical details together.
